Introducing ZTag from BlinkFX and Gantom:
Interactive smart social badges to gamify any live event!
ZTag: a digital viral game that you easily configure and package for your event
ZTag is a battery powered wearable tag used at events to encourage people to interact with each other and their environment in a social game play setting. ZTag has a ton of technology packed into a small wearable, custom branded badge. Each ZTag can sense the presence of another ZTag or sense a specific location. Different types of ZTags cause different effects upon each other. Like the ability to increase or decrease a player's health level. Spread a digital virus and conduct a digital scavenger hunt rolled into one.

The ZTag system allows event organizers to configure social games that motivate people to mingle, visit specific locations and sometimes avoid obstacles or hazards! Administered by a free smartphone app, ZTag is easy to set up and deploy without the need for special services. There's no limit to the creative ways to deploy a ZTag game.
How does ZTag work?
ZTag consists of a system of custom branded wearable badges, location emitters, a scoring reader and free smartphone app that allows for quick and easy game configuration. Event organizers may program the parameters of a variety of social game play patterns quickly and easily. Badges react to each other to level up the health of a player or decrease that player's health. LED lights on each badge display the current status of each player. Organizers may set up any number of checkpoints that players must locate and register on their badge. Badges are smart and remember when a checkpoint has been visited and don't allow players to visit the same checkpoint twice. Players must avoid obstacles that might damage their health while seeking players who might help restore their health. To drive social interaction, players might work together and achieve invincibility that passes between players who group together. When all checkpoints are achieved, each badge displays a white LED light and achieves immortal healing power.
A badge is initialized wirelessly by a ZStation set up with the game parameters at the start of play. Organizers may easily specify the length of time for each game and all other gameplay parameters through the free smartphone app ZTag Configurator available for iOS or Android.

ZStation checkpoint emitters wirelessly trigger badges either automatically or on a button push if an action is required by a player (e.g. "Like" us on Facebook). Rechargeable battery and charging cable included.

ZTag Case Study: computer hacker event for enterprise big data company
A big data IT company was looking for a unique, fun and interactive way to attract millennials to an after hours sales event. The answer was to package ZTag in a custom game configuration as a digital "hacker" event. Attendees were encouraged to visit all 9 sales stations to learn about the company's products in order to be eligible for prizes. Cosplay "hackers" mingled throughout the crowd spreading a malicious digital virus that could only be cured by visiting sales stations and receiving "patches" to restore "data security" health. Once players completed their quest, their badges turned white indicating data security had been achieved. These players could in turn temporarily disable the "hackers" and level up players with yellow badges who had been hacked.
ZTag Case Study: zombie infection game at trade show with 10,000 attendees
The object of the game was to stay alive for the two hour game scoring period. Players badges were activated and blinked green to indicate full health on a rolling basis throughout the two day event. Players were forced to avoid infectious zombies who could zap down their health turning their badge to yellow or red while seeking out zombie hunters and other "healer" players with white lights who were able to level up a sick player's health. Players were required to check in to at least eight of eleven vendor booths as part of a scavenger hunt to find the parts of the antidote to cure them. Once a player's badge registered completion of the task, the badge turned white to indicate success and the player became a healer who could help other players. Other players were not so fortunate and became part of the evil zombie army!
